Haverhill – 40 hour week

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company in Haverhill looking to recruit 2 X Stores Operatives for Goods-In. You will be working as part of a team to ensure targets are met without any compromise on quality. Having the opportunity to develop and grow your skills in a busy, friendly environment, where everyone helps each other as required. Your working week will finish early on a Friday, giving you a long weekend to enjoy. If you have a forklift license (either Counterbalance, Reach, or both) this would definitely be an advantage. Also using your skills to establish damaged or defective goods and organising stock. Pick, pack and despatch daily orders ensuring quality standards are met. You will be working with equipment, so being Health & Safety aware is essential.

Main duties for Stores Operative include:

* Unload deliveries, checking the order is correct and received in good condition.

* Ensure stock is stored on a rotation basis

* Replenish stock as required so is always available for picking

* Ensure despatch targets are met without compromising on quality

* Ensure vehicles are unloaded and loaded correctly and safely.

* Maintain inventory by carrying out regular stock checks

* Assisting in the control of packaging and consumables in an efficient manner

* Capable of working unsupervised and having the ability to be self-motivated and self-organised.

* Working with various equipment including pump truck and pallet wrapping, so a good working knowledge of H&S is essential

Personable Skills:

* Ability to work under pressure

* Strong organisational skills

* Excellent attention to detail and prove accuracy skills

* Knowledge of H&S standards

Desirable Skills:

* Current valid Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Truck Licence

* Previous experience working in a busy warehouse
