Davies Turner has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join their team in Manchester.

Location: M17 1DY, Trafford Park, Manchester

Salary: £25,900 per annum (£12.45 per hour), including shift allowances and bonuses*

*plus profit share

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, shift rotation, (Week 1: 6am – 14:30pm & Week 2: 9:30am – 6pm)

Warehouse Operative – The Role:

This interesting role provides an excellent opportunity as a warehouse operative to receive, store, pick and despatch freight into and out of the warehouse at Trafford Park, Manchester.

Responsibilities will include:

– Ensure all deliveries are unloaded and loaded safely using the correct equipment for handling and moving all freight

– Use of a handheld scanner for scanning freight and in and out of the warehouse and ensuring corresponds with the appropriate paperwork

– Adhere to the H&S controls and procedures in place

– Handle all freight and equipment with due care and attention

– Represent Davies Turner to all parties in a professional manner

Please note that the work can be quite physical due at time to the nature of the cargo.

Warehouse Operative – You:

If you have any of the following we want to hear from you:

– Hold a current FLT counter balance licence

– Experience in the H&S standards in a warehouse environment

– Manual Handling experience

– Good Communication skills

– Committed work ethic together with excellent timekeeping

– Good attention to detail

– Good numeracy skills with a good level of English

In addition, you will need the right to work in the UK – we are not able sponsor work permits.
