Salary: £42,000 – £45,600 per year
Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting a Warehouse Manager for a well established client in Chesterfield.
We are looking for a highly professional, motivated and organised Warehouse Manager, responsible for all warehousing and logistics activities across their operations, as well as leading site health & safety, maintaining site facilities and management of contractors.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe and proper warehousing and inventory control of all finished and semi-finished goods across the full end to end supply chain. The role is accountable for all receipt, storage, maintenance, pick, pack and despatch of stock.
Accountabilities
* Uphold excellent Customer Service
* Monitor flow of goods
* Develop and monitor KPI’s
* Manage warehouse shop floor
* Monitor stock levels
* Product Non-conformance reports
* Training / Development of staff
* Hold regular meetings to provide feedback
* Manage contractors and logistics
* Ensure despatch processes are followed and bookings for export consignments are made correctly
* Coordinate with the Import Manager to arrange incoming deliveries and allocation of inbound slots for both full container load (FCL) and palletised inbounds (LCL)
* Coordinate with the Sales department
* Approve logistics and warehouse invoices in line with finance policies
* H&S Competent Person duties (including but not limited to) Risk assessments, safe working practice records & RAMs, maintaining COSHH records, Fire & First Aid training, racking safety inspections etc.
* Facilities maintenance including hygiene, waste, pest control, building repair. Ordering of Warehouse supplies and packing materials.
* Site security – Unlocking of site and dis-arming alarm daily. Ensure security of premises and stock. Staff searches. Key holder & first responder to alarm calls on a rotation basis
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
· Demonstrable experience in managing a warehouse or other similar function
· H&S qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH)
· Experienced user of WMS systems. High level PC literacy, outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint
· Knowledge & experience of Export Documentation & procedures Post-Brexit
· GCSE or equivalent Grade C or above in Mathematics and English
· Current forklift licence (Reach/Counterbalance)
· Experience of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, 5S, Kaizen etc. (Desirable)
· SAP B1 User / RF Gun usage / Knowledge of Production Orders, Planning and BOMs (Desirable)
· Experience of working with E-Commerce ordering systems
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30-5pm
Salary: 35-40K DOE
