Location: Tottenham area, North London

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm OR 7am to 5pm TBA – no weekends

Salary: up to circa £32,400per annum depending on experience + bonuses

Start: ASAP – Full time permanent position

Our client, based in the Tottenham area of North London, is looking for a warehouse assistant to join a small team of staff in their business.

This business has seen a good increase in sales leading to recent expansion and the addition of new team members.

The warehouse assistant will work in conjunction with one other staff member in the warehouse and will be responsible for:

Daily activities of the warehouse, including management of the workspace, logistics, deliveries, and some customer service.

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

Look after all inbound deliveries including stock control, quality control, unload containers, unload pallet deliveries

Look after all outbound deliveries ensuring goods are picked, packed and loaded ready for delivery

Adhere to all warehousing and handling legislation requirements.

Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.

Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.

If you are an experienced forklift driver you may also operate machinery such as Fork Lift Truck and Pallet Trucks or other similar vehicles.

Requirement:

A minimum of 2 years previous warehouse experience is preferred

Forklift driving experience is beneficial but not essential

Good communication, organisational, time management and mathematical skills

Dependable and Reliable with a great attitude to work

Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills will also be required

A solid career history in warehouse operations is preferred with current or recent warehouse experience.

The ideal candidate will have great initiative, happy to work in a small team, be punctual and reliable and be capable of working in a physical role.

A flexible attitude to your work will give you a distinct advantage.

Starting salary of between £32,400per annum depending on experience
