Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm

Salary: up to circa £31,200 per annum depending on experience, full time permanent position + annual bonus

Our client, on the north side of Crawley, is looking for an experienced warehouse assistant to join a small team of staff in their business.

This branch has seen a good increase in business leading to recent expansion and the addition of new team members.

The warehouse assistant will work in conjunction with the warehouse manager and other staff and will be responsible for:

Daily activities of the warehouse, including assisting with logistics, deliveries, and customer service.

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

Goods In – Look after all inbound deliveries including stock control, quality control, unload containers, unload pallet deliveries

Goods Out – Look after all outbound deliveries ensuring goods are picked, packed and loaded ready for delivery

Adhere to all warehousing and handling legislation requirements.

Stock control

Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.

Occasional ad hoc delivery driving – so confident in driving a van

Requirement:

A minimum of 2 years previous warehouse experience preferred

Full driving licence and over 21 years old for insurance purposes

Good communication, organisational, time management mathematical skills

Dependable and Reliable

Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

A solid career history in warehouse operations is required with current or recent warehouse experience.

The ideal candidate will have great initiative, happy to work in a small team, be punctual and reliable and be capable of working in a physical role.

A flexible attitude to your work will give you a distinct advantage.

Starting salary of circa £31,200 per annum + benefits + potential annual bonus.
