Salary: £26,000 per year
We are looking for Reach Truck and Counterbalance Drivers to work at a local distribution centre for our client, a rapidly expanding retail company. Candidates must be able to show they are self motivated, reliable, capable of working to targets and also be able to work well alone as well as within a team. Due to the nature of work, previous experience is desirable; however it is not essential as successful candidates will be given 2 full days of training and will be required to pass an initial in-house assessment.
Reach Role
” Stock replenishment
” Picking orders using handheld scanner
” PC Literate – you will be trained on the in house system an in turn print and create manifests
” Put aways and space creation
Counterbalance Role
” General forklift duties
” Loading and unloading trailers
” Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
” Ability to work under pressure
This is a temporary ongoing role, with the potential to become permanent. Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your skills and ability as a driver in order progress within a well established distribution company, as long as you have a positive and can do attitude to work.
Successful candidates will be expected to work 37.5 hours per year and will receive a Salary: £26,000per year, plus standard company benefits. Upon completion of your initial assessment you will be assigned a shift pattern of either Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
Working hours between Monday and Friday rotate on a weekly basis between 0600 to 1400 and 1400 to 2200. Any work conducted on the weekend will be on a set shift of 0800 to 1600. Public transport is available to site although own transport is preferred.
A valid UK license will need to be provided in order to be considered for this position.
