Our client is seeking an experience and passionate Ward Matron in various locations within the south east,

Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for the whole of the department/ward providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership.
• 24 hour continuing responsibility for the quality of care, cleanliness, environment and infection, prevention and control within the clinical area and provide professional advice and support at both unit and directorate level.
• Develop the ward/unit in relation to staff development and team building, ensuring that all staff participates in regular performance reviews.
• Responsible for the management, recruitment, retention and development of the nursing team and ensure close liaison with Ward House Keepers, ensuring that budgetary targets are met.

You must have:
• RGN – Current first or second level NMC registration.
• Degree in Nursing
• Leadership qualification
• Minimum of five years post registration experience of which one year must be at Band 6 or above.
• Evidence of strong and effective leadership skills.
