NHS Ward Environment Porter

Taskmaster Resources are looking to recruit a number of Ward Environment Porters to work within the NHS hospitals in Leeds. We have a number of positions and shift patterns currently open.

Your main duties will include:

The cleaning of patient areas (predominately patient discharge bed spaces,) using the approved methods and equipment to the required standard

The disposal of refuse in accordance with Trust policy and the cleaning of refuse holders

The removal of rubbish and soiled (infected) linen and waste to designated areas in line with Trust Infection Prevention and Control Policy/Waste Policy

Transporting patients throughout the hospital, making the journey as pleasant & comfortable as possible

Locating and moving equipment to wherever required

We are looking for people with the following skills and abilities:

Flexible, reliable and an ability to work under pressure
Well organized and be able to listen to instruction
A good attitude towards teamwork
Friendly and out-going mannerAll applicants are subject to a successful and clear DBS check and an initial registration interview. We must also be able to attain employment references covering the last 3 years as a minimum, with any gaps suitably verified with official documentation.

No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided. You will be required to attend an induction day with the hospital followed by monitored shifts. Candidates who successfully complete these shifts will be offered further work and a shift pattern.
