The role of “IT Business Partner” will have you at the heart of our IT function; leading a team of IT Business Systems Managers in ensuring the effective delivery of IT application solutions to our Distribution/Logistics Function.

The Role

Establish effective partnering relationships with the Directors, Business Leaders and Senior Managers across Distribution to drive the development and delivery of IT applications to enable business strategy.
To lead, motivate, coach and develop the Business Systems Managers, Developers and wider IT Team to ensure they have the right level of capability and are fully engaged to achieve the strategy, goals and targets set. Identify development opportunities for self and their team.
Oversee and drive the development and implementation of the IT solution roadmap across Distribution. Demonstrating technology leadership and ensuring their teams expertise adds value to the process, raises the bar and leads to solution delivery. Act as the main point of liaison between IT and Distribution.
To manage own budget area to ensure cost efficiency and value for money when securing services.
To maintain own and teams continuous development, knowledge of applications and best practice IT approach to ensure the Leadership Board, Business Leaders and Managers have a reliable and professional IT consultancy service to meet their needs.
To lead the implementation of specific IT/Business change initiatives, applying learnings from past experiences to ensure we avoid pitfalls.
Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships.  Ensuring that services provided are value adding and to the required standard to support the business.
To provide user support and training for their business functions. Ensuring that support process are adhered to and critical business processes are conducted.
Essential Ingredients

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Business Partnering role, preferably in a fast paced multi-site organisation. They will have proven experience in supplier relationship management, successfully using these relationships to keep up-to-date with changing technologies. They will demonstrate evidence of having worked within a senior management team, with the ability to manage and motivate teams (directly, indirectly and remotely) using influential, persuasive, and impactful communication skills. The successful applicant will be an excellent relationship builder and team player, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, exhibiting the leadership and strategic skills that this role requires.

The successful applicant will possess a broad knowledge of business processes, and current and emerging technology solutions. They will have an understanding of both business and functional strategies, rising to the challenge to help deliver progress against them. They will possess the ability to develop a good understanding of the business needs and will be able to effectively identify, create and implement innovative IT solutions to the business on time, and to budget.
