About The Role
Hybrid Role – 2 days a week in the office, 3 days a week at home.

About the role

The Salesforce Functional Consultant will work closely with the Heads of Product & Journey teams involved in all areas of the business to design Salesforce solutions to improve and enhance business processes. They will ย be involved in ideation sessions alongside Journey teams and business users to conceptualise how the Salesforce platform can best meet the business needs. Working closely and demonstrating excellent communication skills with the Journey teams, business stakeholders and development teams will be critical to success.
This role will provide continued support and guidance to Salesforce Engineering teams (consisting of administrators, developers, technical consultants and solution engineers). The job holder will be a champion for the Salesforce products within the internal teams and look to grow the footprint of Salesforce Trailblazers, be an active and proactive contributor within internal forums and be the expert for Vitality.

AccountabilitiesProvide innovative solutions using out-of-the-box thinking, matching capabilities to business need
Exploring how the solutions designed will create positive ROI, and highlight the potential improved KPIs
Brief the Salesforce Centre of Excellence Manager on all risks, issues, dependencies for reporting
Promote Agile development methodology to provide the best time to market for solutions
Collaborate with the Journey Teams and other Development teams across the business to deliver high quality software solutions
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and provide clear and effective documentation
Build excellent product knowledge and always remain up to date on business, industry, technical and customer strategies
Ensure you understand and adhere to our Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies and mandatory training requirements

Skills required

EssentialEducated to degree level in a computer science related subject, or equivalent experience
Experience working on Salesforce products, implementing solutions using a variety of functionality options. This will include integration with other systems
Experience working in the insurance or financial services sector
Advanced investigative, analytical and logical problem solving skills
Proven experience in running ideation sessions with detailed solutions output
Experience working within Agile methodology and use of governance tools (ie. Jira/Confluence)
