Veneer Manager Required for High Spec Contractor

High spec residential and retail contractor is seeking an experienced furniture Veneer Manager to join full-time at their main office in Harrow, Middlesex.

In this important role, you will be responsible for managing multiple orders, supervise and coordinate the activity of an assigned team of employees. Provide “hands-on” knowledge of operational tasks and equipment as well as prepare quotes, planning and preparing matching grain patterns and review all orders for accuracy. You will also be responsible for planning and track projects from their inception through to completion.

As a furniture Veneer Manager you will also perform other associated manufacturing duties and administrative functions such as matching patters either through Book matching, slip matching, radial matching and/or Diamond matching as they are assigned or required. You must complete all necessary paperwork and follow all documented processes.

Desired skills:

•Must know veneer species and matching patterns
•Experience determining material takeoffs from concept and production drawings
•Must have previous woodworking experience with high quality veneers
•Come from a joinery or design background.
•Previous experience in a supervisory role within a veneer/plywood/door/cabinet manufacturing environment is required.
•Strong organization and planning skills.
•Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
•Mathematically minded and have acute attention to detail.
•Min 5 years of experience specializing in Veneering

Offering up to £44,400 per annum + overtime
