Trust Financial Controller

Salary: £72,000 – £84,000 per year

Dedicate Recruitment is working in partnership with this small multi Academy Trust comprising of two secondary schools in North London.

Due to ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the financial processes for both academies and to ensure accurate financial information is produced for the Trust.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, and working closely with the Head Teachers and School Business Managers, you will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing the accounts function, producing consolidated monthly reports
• Balance sheet and cashflow commentary for the Trust
• Presenting financial information to the Board and Committee Members
• Completion and submission of ESFA returns
• Production of annual statutory accounts
• Relationship building with external stakeholders
• Overseeing a combined budget of £8.7M
• Leading a team of two staff
• Xero Financials

On a personal note, you will be a fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or CIPFA, with previous experience of working within a multi Academy Trust or school setting, and will possess a good understanding of the ESFA returns completion process. You will have the charisma to influence stakeholders across the board and the gravitas in presenting financial information effectively.

There is the opportunity to work from home one day a week with the potential to increase to two days after completion of a successful probation period.
