Production Supervisor – Fabrication & Welding

Trant Engineering is currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our offsite manufacturing division based at our head office at in Rushington.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

Supervision and co-ordination of welders, fabricators and associated materials
Collate information for, and creation of quality packs
Implementing all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the work scope is completed safely and to a high standard
Undertaking appropriate risk assessments in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner
Reporting progress on jobs to managers, including any issues that may have an impact on the cost or completion of the project
Applicants should:

Hold appropriate qualifications for the position of e.g. time served NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship; HNC/NC Welding & Fabrication
Demonstrate the ability to read, interpret and implement procedures / specifications / drawings / sketches etc
Have good communication skills including spoken and written English and must be able to communicate sensitively, politely and clearly with staff, managers, suppliers and customers
Be able to work as part of a team and be able to motivate others
