Transport and Logistics Operations Lead, UKI Opportunity – Homebased

Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has been created due to company growth. My client a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company is looking to recruit an experienced Transport and Logistics Operations Lead, UKI based working from home where you will manage all the transportation activities within the UKI across the various Transport 3PL (third party logistics) providers. You will support the Head of UKI Transport across different workstreams including freight financial management, transport operations, data analysis and business/continuous improvement. The role holder will work alongside Western European colleagues on transport projects and implement various operational improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all the Transportation invoices and accruals.
  • Leading the UKI data analysis on all transportation costs and identifying key areas for cost efficiencies and high spend.
  • Providing weekly/monthly reporting versus forecast / budget including pulse updates and risks and opportunities.
  • Implementing and executing key transportation projects in UKI.
  • Leading cross functional teams (internal & external) to identify and track performances on VIP’s.
  • Hosting freight MBR’s with all 3PL providers.
  • Supporting with financial and strategic business submissions through AOP / budgeting / Forecasting.
  • Supporting continued sustainability improvements within distribution identifying new initiatives.

This is a full time permanent job opportunity based in working from home and travel to the sites as and when needed. The role is paying an excellent salary of £54,000 per annum plus £700 per month car allowance or a company car and great benefits such as 25 days holiday plus bank holidays on top, Pension, Life insurance, Childcare vouchers and much more.

Skills:

To apply for the role of Transport and Logistics Operations Lead, UKI you will have the following:

  • CILT Level 3 qualified in logistics and transport working towards Level 5.
  • Expert level in Excel and competent in use of other Microsoft skills.
  • Good level of experience in managing transportation transactions (e.g. invoices and P&L impact).
  • Previous experience of operating in environments that are regulated by MHRA GMP/GDP guidelines, GPhC Homecare Standards but flexible.
  • Knowledge of JDE preferred and experience with analytical tools such as Tableau.
