SecureNet Communication Solutions require Trainee Network Security Engineers to design, build, install and support secure corporate network infrastructure.

Duties will include help-desk support, as well as the building and installation of servers, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, remote access, virus and web content checking systems.

These posts are open to new or recent graduates and offer a variety of interesting work using the latest world-class products and networking and security technologies. The posts offer excellent experience and training with a career path to Security Consultant.

Candidates must be self-motivated and able to learn quickly in this fast changing environment. The ability to deal professionally with clients is important, as are planning and organisational abilities. The posts would include national and international travel. You will be client site or home based.

SecureNets area of work includes all aspects of Routing and Switching, LAN, WAN data centre design and Security systems including perimeter firewalls, application firewalls, VPNs, remote access and server load balancing. We also cover encryption, IDS, penetration testing, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), virus and web content checking, email, web, TCP/IP, DNS, routers, Windows, UNIX (Solaris, Linux), HTML, LDAP, authentication.

Experience in any of these disciplines would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Check Point or Cisco products. Candidates would be expected to rapidly grow their expertise in these areas. Product training will be available to Check Point CCSE or Cisco CCNA.

Candidates must have a good degree (ideally 2:1 or above), which includes computing, and a strong knowledge of Internet technology. It is important that candidates have the aptitude to take on this intellectually demanding subject.

Salary Dependent on experience £26,000 – £33,600
