Role: Trainee Machine / Coating Technician

Member of the manufacturing team reporting to the Supervisor and responsible for assembling products/gels in accordance with the production plan by adhering to set procedures and work instructions. He/she will ensure the appropriate course of action is taken as soon as any issues affecting the quality of product being produced is identified.

You will make sure the cleanliness of production / coating equipment and the housekeeping of any associated workspace is maintained at the highest standard at all times.

Skills & Responsibilities:

 Monitor and control manufacturing performance against targets, i.e. minimise waste, manufacture quality product, ensure sufficient stock levels, proactively support the Supervisor to enhance the implementation of the production plan.
 Ensure you are working to written procedures and actively promote improvement.
 Ensure safe systems and procedures are continually in operation and report any near misses / incidents appropriately.
 Ensure that communications are clear, effective and concise and act in a non-confrontational manner.
 Maintain ultra high standards of operational hygiene and cleanliness in all areas in line with Good Manufacturing Practice.
 Report any quality related concerns to your immediate supervisor and/or quality.
 Pro-actively support continuous improvement programmes.
 Support the transition to cGMP compliance and future regulatory requirements.
 You will assist investigations of quality problems, and ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with the Quality Management System.
 Pro-actively support the business needs and requirements.
 Operate equipment, machines, testing facilities and ancillary equipment within a monitored cleanroom environment.
 Support R&D activities as required.

Hours of Work:
6am – 2pm and 8am – 4:30pm and 2pm to 10pm.

You will be working for the first 15 weeks as a Temporary member of staff at £26,000 per year.

Transport is essential due to location.
