Job Description

Due to the continued growth of their business my client is seeking an in-house Service Engineer to join their experienced team working from their modern facility in Winchester.

My client is the UK’s leading supplier of handheld analysers. The job entails the service, repair and calibration of these analysers.

The role would suit candidates with experience of working as an in-house service engineer. Training will be provided on the repair and maintenance of their range of instruments. They offer Mon to Fri working hours (37 hrs). Mon-Thurs 8:45am-5pm and Fridays 8:45am-4pm.

Main Purpose of Job:

To ensure that instruments units sent in are fully repaired, calibrated according to the specific customer’s requirements. Also, to ensure pre delivery inspection tests and configurations are carried out on new equipment, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing, commissioning and configuration of repaired instruments to the specific customer and manufacturers requirements
• Testing, repair and configuring repaired handheld instruments according to documented procedures
• To ensure all such repairs are dispatched in a timely manner to continue with contractual commitments
• Documenting and managing device configuration files and processes
• Updating the service management system as appropriate with relevant repair updates and reconfiguration details
• Health & Safety, make sure all areas are safe at all times
• Communicating with customers to obtain up to date configuration information
• Communicating with couriers to arrange delivery/collection from customer
• Testing & configuring new devices prior to dispatch with customer
• Any other tasks assigned by management and the directors
• To abide the employee’s Working Rules and Health and Safety requirements
• Due to location must have own reliable transport
