Do you want to work for a rapidly expanding client who is a leading name within their market?

We are working with an established client based in Walsall who currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join their technical team. They are looking for a candidate that has good working knowledge of 3D CAD and a passion for digital and mechanical design with a natural aptitude for product development.

The Trainee Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Preparing costings, feasibility reports and designs
• Operating 3D CAD software to create designs for tooling
• Using simulation software to test methods
• Ensure the Bill of materials are maintained and updated effectively.
• Assisting in wider technical areas in terms of quality management, scrap and product lifecycle management
• Continuously looking for ways to improve processes

Skills and Experience

• A degree level (or equivalent) in either Mechanical engineering or design disciplines
• Good working knowledge of 3D Design software such as Auto CAD / SolidWorks and previous experience in using simulation software
• Knowledge of CAM and tooling manufacturing would be advantageous
• Experience using PLM and PDM software would be beneficial
