Trainee Building Performance Analyst / Energy Engineer / Assessor
Holywell, North West, Commutable from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wrexham and Birkenhead
Salary Circa £30,000
Our client are the global leaders in the innovation, design, manufacture and supply of high quality insulated roof, wall and facade systems for the construction industry.
They currently have an opportunity within the envirocare Technical Services Department for the Insulated Panels division, based in Holywell, Flintshire for a Building’s Performance Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out thermal Building Energy Modelling (BEM) in VE IES for UK compliance and analysis purposes.
Carry out thermal FEA modelling of junctions to determine Psi Values and min f values for specific projects
Through wall and roof condensation risk / U value calculations using JPA software.
Calculate area weighted U-Values and heat loss for specific buildings.
Attend design/sales meetings and present on BEM.
Give professional advice to customers regarding BREEAM (Particularly the “Energy” section).
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in one of the following subjects:-
Bachelor of Engineering in Building Services Engineering.
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Sustainable Energy.
Bachelor of Engineering (Energy Systems).
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of the following software will be beneficial but not essential as appropriate training will be provided:-
IES
JPA U value.
Ansys Mechanical Heat Transfer software.
Solidworks.
AutoCAD.
