Trade Marketing Coordinator / Marketing Assistant – Skelmersdale
Our client currently has a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step up into Marketing. The successful candidate will be extremely organised and self-motivated.
The role is responsible for the day to day support required to activate the agreed plans in the assigned territory and should help deliver Trade Marketing Projects on time, budget and within scope.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Support for the timely execution of the local activity calendar/trade promotional plan and communication thereof with key customers and channels; respecting deadlines, budget and scope;
• Keep track of the marketing budget and monthly spends and communicate in a timely manner to the Trade Marketing Manager;
• Ensuring the evaluation of all channel and customer activations and business performance with the learnings used to continuously improve the quality and impact of execution in store and financial profitability;
• Send out internal communication between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and other departments, as aligned with the Trade Marketing Manager;
• Send out external communication with retailers and distributors, as aligned with the Trade Marketing Manager, so that company messages are communicated consistently and effectively
OTHER DUTIES
• Support the Trade Marketing Manager in building effective working relationships with both internal and external customers and channel partners
• Support the Trade Marketing Manager in presenting key initiatives to customers, both internally and externally; specifically the collating of brand collateral required for all involved
• Capturing relevant market/category/competitor trends and information in cooperation with the sales managers by leading the field sales force into monthly feedback in the form of defined templates.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• Education: Degree in Marketing or equivalent;
• Minimum 1 years of experience in a (trade) marketing role, experience in sales is an advantage;
• Advanced knowledge of English and intermediate communication, presentation and interpersonal skills,
• Intermediate understanding of the Sales & Marketing cooperation process;
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Knowledge of Spaceman is an advantage;
• Intermediate analytical/business thinking, time management skills, able to focus on key priorities, and proactive
• Basic budget and project management skills and basic financial management skills;
This is an interim role for initially 3 months, with a view to being extended.
In return for your skills and experience you can expect a salary ranging from £26,000
