Tool Maker

We are currently seeking a Tool Maker to work within one of the countries leading engineering companies based in Birmingham.

Job role.
• To repair and rectify as appropriate and necessary production tooling in accordance with pre-determined timetables and specifications and to record work performed in the correct Tool Log.
• To assist, as required/directed, in the development and construction of modifications to existing tools.
• To comply with all quality systems, controls and directives.
• Participate in training initiatives as and when these are identified.
• To ensure that all work performed is in accordance with the customer and company requirements
.• To operate all Toolroom machines and equipment in a safe manner and to report safety problems and issues.
• maintaining a clean and efficient working environment and to work in compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy, EMS Policy and COSHH provisions
• To perform work in compliance with Company systems as defined under industry standards QS9000 and ISP14001 and all subsequent derivatives.
• Departmental housekeeping is the responsibility of everyone – all areas must be clean, tidy and well presented at any given time.
• Co-operation with company guidelines regarding correct use of personal protection equipment (PPE), ensuring containers are correctly identified with contents labels and are used within the manufacturers recommendations.

Hours of work: 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 to 1:00 on Friday
