Real-time Software Engineer C/C++ – Software Engineer role working with a market leader in industrial controls in an agile environment to develop software with a team of engineers in a real-time environment. You will develop software with the team in a full cycle development role in this highly technical environment alongside teams skilled in embedded C, C++, C# and Java.

This role will see you designing and developing new products for the process automation markets, the core technologies will be in real-time C/C++ within a regulated industry.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the definition and delivery of software/hardware products, sub-systems and technology components.

The role will involve development of complex real-time software in C/C++, you will have the opportunity to develop software using C# and will need to work to stringent industry standards.

Key Skills

Essential

The following skills are considered to be essential to this role.
*C++ and OO (Object Orientated Design).
*Embedded RTOS experience.
*Experience working in a regulated industry (IEC 61508 / 61511, ISO, MISRA, DO-178 or equivalent)

Desirable Skills

While not essential it would be useful for applicants to have experience with some or all of the following skills:

*Development experience in C# /.NET
*Experience with security standards such as NERC, ANSI/ISA-99, ISO 27002, ISO 15408, RFC 2196.
*Understanding of control systems
*A good understanding of HCI (Human Computer Interaction)
*MFC
