Our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence company, are looking for an experienced Test Technician to join their team in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis. The company are one of the world’s leading suppliers in heat transfer and fluids management products and services for the military and commercial Aerospace markets and electronics industries 

Position summary:

The role of the Test Technician is to set up and run tests for production and where possible development projects.

Responsibilities of Test Technician:

• Understand Test Specifications,
• Test set up/rig in accordance with Test Specification
• Understand the operation of test equipment
• Carry out production testing and where required development testing
• Understand test results and the function of the test
• Liaise with Engineering Departments and Operations on the status of tests
• Support all EH&S activities and initiatives
• Encourage the use of Core Tools such as 5s, TPM and QCPC activity.

 Requirements:

• Experienced Engineer within Aerospace or related technical industry
• HNC or equivalent on the job experience
• Good communication skills and ability to lead by example

This position may involve access to export controlled information and hardware where an export license would be required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Employment will be subject to satisfactory security checks, export license approval, and if required, completion of a non-disclosure agreement.
