Temporary Purchasing Administrator

Salary: £26,400 – £30,000 per year

Total Vehicle Solutions Group are experiencing a huge period of growth and have a fantastic order book for 2022 already.

With four sites based across the UK, and over 50 years of combined trading history within the commercial vehicle market, we are synonymous with the design, manufacture and delivery of a wide range of solutions to the construction, logistics and commercial fleet market.

As part of the incredible growth across all areas of our business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Administrator on a temporary basis, to support our buying functions across the group, and work closely with the buying team on its day-to-day functions.

Reporting into the Purchasing Director, you will support the purchasing of all materials, goods and services ensuring best quality, price and delivery are achieved to departmental KPI’s. The assignments within the role are varied, and dependant on the workloads of each business, so a candidate who is able to work efficiently and at a high pace is preferred.

Day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Raise purchase orders and deal with invoice queries
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
• Effective and proactive liaison with other departments where necessary
• Supporting the maintenance of the ERP systems
• Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review potential cost reduction activities

Ideally you will have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced purchasing function and be able to provide demonstrable knowledge in the use of buying processes across a wide variety of products. A background in engineering or complex manufacturing is preferred, and a knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
