Tekla CAD Draughtsman / Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven CAD Draughtsman / Technician with extensive Tekla Experience to provide support throughout the estimating, design, fabrication and erection of large special projects within the Rail infrastructure sector

The Position:

As a result of sustained market dominance and significant growth, our client are looking to expand their operational capacities and hire a new member of their rail special projects design team.
The appointed Tekla Draughtsperson will focus primarily on large structural steel projects within a rail infrastructure environment

• Providing drawing office support all stages (estimating, design, fabrication and erection) of projects
• Generating 3D TEKLA models at tender stage in partnership with estimating team
• Generating 3D TEKLA models at design stage to customer specifications (from scratch and/or from client’s BIM models)
• Working closely with the Production team to ensure that drawings are compatible with CNC capabilities

The Candidate:

Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

• Experience as a Tekla & CAD Draughtsman within steel fabrication or rail
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Current knowledge of 3D Model build, connections detailing and fabrication drawings
