Our client is the UK’s leading food solutions business, supplying all major food retailers, wholesalers and foodservice companies with a wide range of quality products.
They currently have an opportunity available for a Technical Services Coordinator to support the Technical Services Manager and be responsible for the control of the supplier approval and risk assessment function for the site. You will maintain the supplier database at site level as well as ensuring that all site documentation is kept up to date on group databases as well as ensuring that the site has all appropriate approval documentation, accreditations, supporting due diligence information and specifications on record for all suppliers.
Responsibilities also include creating and issuing current approved supplier lists to all key areas of the business, ensuring that all ingredient and packaging specifications meet customer needs and legal requirements as well as collating and presenting all supplier approval information for customer visits and accreditation audits.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a similar environment and will possess knowledge of quality standards such as BRC, M&S and TFMS, food regulations and food contract packaging standards and customer codes of practice, legislation and standards. Self-motivated and enthusiastic you will have excellent communication skills enabling you to communicate both in writing and verbally at all levels. Organisational skills are essential to the role as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills.
