Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
Exciting opportunity for a graduate with a degree in Biology or Chemistry looking for a career in scientific sales.
Territory: South UK
You would be responsible for selling service contracts and water purification consumables (pre-filter cartridges to UV lamps, specialist de-ionisation cartridges and ultra filters) to Healthcare departments, including endoscopy.

Role:
Account development
” All customers are visited on a regular basis to maximise potential of consumables
” All service contracts are followed up 1-2 months prior to expiry
” Train customers, where necessary, on system maintenance and filter change
” Look for new after sales opportunities
” Liaise with marketing for literature, exhibition and PR requirements
” Update and maintain the customer database
” Update and maintain the Service database
” Be innovative with new products and proposals
” Ensure all customers are aware of consumable requirements
” Ensure all customers are aware of equipment maintenance requirements
” Maintain a visit/follow up diary
” Keep user reference lists up to date
” Pass enquiries/leads to colleagues for other equipment opportunities
” Maintain product and competitor knowledge up-to-date and feed any new product requirements to manager and colleagues
” Pass potential equipment enquiries to sales manager
Sales Target
” To achieve or exceed monthly and full year target
” Agree pricing with manager when below set guidelines
” Selling contracts and consumables to existing users
” Selling contracts and consumables to competitor equipment with guidance from manager
Reports
” Provide a monthly forecast for orders to your manager
” Provide prospect list when required to your manager
Sales Meetings
” Attend all sales meetings usually on a 4 monthly basis
” Provide necessary presentations at the meetings
” Pass relevant information to colleagues which may be helpful
Quotations
” Generate all quotations from head office
” Agree special pricing with immediate manager
” Agree wording and timing with immediate manager for any promotions
” Follow up and keep accurate records
Requirements:
Science Degree (Biology or Chemistry)
Experience in a customer-facing role (retail sales etc) or target-driven environment
Drive and motivation to succeed in sales
