Infrastructure Technical Lead

Infrastructure Technical Lead – Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire – to £70,000

Leading legal and professional services business have a fantastic opportunity for a business focused Infrastructure Technical Lead with experience of enterprise level infrastructure (ideally with people management experience) or from a Data Centre production or Operations role and with a desire to move into hands-on management position. You will have previous experience of working in a business that has gone through significant growth and supported the maturing of a technology function and can show demonstrable experience supporting high-capacity, high-availability, business-critical applications, and services. You will be required to deliver quality services in compliance with service agreements and performance targets, have practical experience of implementing and employing the principles of the ITIL Service Management framework and its complimentary quality standard ISO/IEC 20000/27001 and have experience of project management of Data Centre, Network migrations and Application Technology implementations / upgrades / migrations.
As an Infrastructure Technical Lead you will be involved in managing a variety of different technology projects in infrastructure, data, applications and service and be responsible for producing regular project highlight reports to the appropriate management structure, manage part of the technology team, conduct performance appraisals, identify opportunities for improvement and coach and mentor as required by supporting a framework for staff learning and development. You will identify and provide solutions for any issues affecting the efficient delivery of applications and services and be responsible for all operational problem, change and release management processes, plan, test and maintain the IT service continuity plans and ensure their continued alignment with business continuity plans and also assist in the development of departmental processes, maintaining and improving on the ISO/IEC 20000/27001 levels of quality already achieved.
Any experience of cloud migrations is desirable
