Technical Consultant (Unified Communications)

A great opportunity to join an expanding IT Company with an excellent reputation as a Technical Consultant (Unified Communications), providing installation, integration and support services working predominately with and implementing Cisco Networks and Cisco IP Telephony solutions. This role will involve both office and field based activities.

The ideal candidate will be involved in consultancy services to audit and analyse customer communication infrastructures for IP Telephony suitability, attend customer site to perform installation and integration of Cisco, Microsoft and third party software applications, and generate good quality documentation of the equipment and systems installed. You will be responsible for pre-configuration of equipment to documented specifications, preparing equipment for shipping to customer sites and escalating and progressing problems with manufactures where required. You will also be involved in pre-sales support to the sales team when required, to help specify, design and produce proposals.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Computing-related subject and must have relevant Cisco accreditations. You will have a solid technical background and relevant experience within a field based customer-facing role. Proven hands on experience with installing Cisco Unified Communications products, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways and ideally Cisco Unity Voice and Unified Messaging. You will need to have the proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, building excellent rapport with customers.
