Casual Communication Support Assistants Required (BSL L3)

£18 – £24 per hour (depending on experience)

Teachers UK are currently looking for Communication Support Workers to work in FE Colleges and Sixth Form Centre’s on a casual basis, as and when required within Lancashire area.

Assignments can vary from day to day, sickness cover and also short to long term assignments part or full time depending on your availability.

Communication Support Workers work as part of the Additional Support Team and are required to provide communication support and assistance to identified students enabling them access to both the academic and wider college curriculum. Students will be deaf or have an hearing impairment.

Candidates will have experience in providing Communication Support, preferably across both discrete provision and mainstream, a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE grade C +) and at least a Level 3 in British Sign Language.
