Teaching Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

TimePlan Education is currently looking for teaching assistants to work across London for daily or short term supply positions. Perhaps you are available on certain days of the week so have found it difficult to secure regular work? Maybe you have just moved to London and are looking to try different education settings to find the right one for you? We have options!

We are looking for candidates with child-based experience that we can get a reference for. Maybe you have helped with after school clubs, or youth sport coaching? Or you are a recent graduate looking to help the next generation by offering your subject knowledge? Perhaps you are an actor with Theatre in Education experience?

You will support children either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them achieve their learning outcomes. You will have a positive approach, work well with the class teacher to understand the lesson objectives and success criteria for that child/children. You may lead intervention sessions on a particular subject. Ultimately, you will make a difference in the lives of the children you work with.

A lot of our supply staff end up securing long term positions at the schools we send them to. This could be an excellent opportunity to forge a career in education and make a difference!

Experience supporting children in a school environment or similar
Strong communication skills
