We have just experienced our busiest ever Term 1 period with lots of schools booking our Teaching Assistants for supply cover. As a result we urgently require more Teaching Assistants to join the School House team.

Individuals seeking work as a Teaching Assistant need a minimum of 6 weeks practical classroom experience working in the role to enable referencing to be completed and, whilst a corresponding Level 2 and/or 3 qualification is desirable, it is not essential. Those with relevant experience are also actively encouraged to get in touch. We recognise that having the right practical experience is equally important.

Teaching Assistant roles can involve 1 to 1 intervention work with specific pupils, working with small groups in booster sessions (especially important as pupils work hard to get back on track) and assisting with whole of classroom activities. Confident reading, writing and numeracy skills are essential together with a natural ability to explain the difficult to make it easier for young learners to absorb and understand.

* Have a GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and your own transport
