Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are working with a mainstream primary school in Christleton, Chester, CH3 who is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil.

You would be required to follow a timetable to support his needs, build a relationship with the child and help him through the ups and downs of an ever changing environment (as he can sometimes struggle in class situations or when there is no structure) e.g. play times.

The role would be supporting the class Teacher and you will be responsible for prepping pupils work, running interventions and 1-1 booster sessions and supporting the pupil’s wellbeing. Previous experience supporting children or adults with similar needs would be ideal.

The role is 5 days per week, Mon – Fri. Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm. This role is due to start ASAP for the right person

The Role:

• Full time, Monday – Friday
• Hours approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Teaching Assistant 1-1
• SEN Support
• £26,000 per year
• Chester area

Responsibilities:

• Providing support within the classroom wherever required
• Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis
• Ensuring children are engaged
• Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
• Helping with behaviour management of children
• Creating displays of children’s work
