English Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, creative and dedicated English Teacher to join our specialist educational provision in Christchurch. The Role As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting learning to meet the diverse needs of pupils. You will play a key role in supporting students to develop literacy

skills , self-confidence and positive learning behaviours. Key

responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons Supporting pupils to achieve academic and personal progress Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil attainment and development Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment Supporting pupils with additional educational, social and emotional needs Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and senior leaders Maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies Contributing to curriculum development and wider school initiatives Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour throughout the school We Are Looking For Someone Who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Has

experience teaching English across secondary age ranges Has

experience teaching young people with SEMH and associated challenges Is passionate about inclusive and relational practice Has strong classroom management and communication

skills Can inspire and motivate pupils with a range of learning needs Is resilient, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to the wider school community This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting where relationships and personalised learning are highly valued.
