My client is a designer and manufacturer of safety critical electro-mechanical components and sub-systems supplied to a wide variety of industries on a global scale. Due to recent growth and acquisition of several companies globally, they are now seeking an experienced Systems Test Engineer to support and facilitate the development of their UK test facility.

You will be given ownership of each project through to the final sign off by the client, ensuring at all times that the system meets the functional and safety requirements. Safety checks, powering up, configuration, testing and fault finding of the PAGA systems within their purpose built test facility will be your daily, base functions. In order to ensure the smooth running of projects, you will liaise across multiple departments, taking a ‘matrix management’ approach to influence your colleagues.

As the ideal candidate you will have experience working within a progressive system test environment, ideally with a PAGA system test background. You will have the ability to fault find from component up to full system level using modern test techniques. A detailed understanding of digital and analogue electronics design and test, with an ability to read and analyse system schematics is essential. Ideally you will have a working knowledge of complex test equipment such as oscilloscope, Sig Gen, DVM and PAT testing with 230Vac high voltage power electronics.

Previous proven experience of creating and implementing a similar project is essential, as is excellent communication skills and an ability to create and achieve project deadlines and targets.
