JAM Recruitment is currently looking for an Information Systems Engineer;

Information System Engineer
Responsible for the design and development of one or more Supply Chain Management (SCM) capabilities for the aircraft Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), potentially covering the whole lifecycle as follows

Design
Responsible for the high level and detailed design of one or more ALIS SCM capabilities. High level design worked in conjunction with the requirements and then further developed as detailed design documents that will used to instruct developers.

Development
Co-ordinate with development team, mentoring and reviewing their work and resolving development issues.

Testing
Although not usually a primary role, the System Engineer will assist with the development of test scripts and occasionally support test execution. Address and resolve issues arising from testing.

Character
The System Engineer will need to be self-starter requiring minimal support and supervision. He(She) will be sufficiently confident to communicate with peer and senior personnel. The System Engineer will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

and Experience
The System Engineer will have a back ground in Software Application development, ideally including the integration of COTS.

This position is for a global aerospace/ defence organisation with many sites around the UK, employing over 80,000 talented people. The role is month contract working 37 hours a week with a chance of additional hours during this period. The pay rate is £55.2per hour and our client is looking for the successful candidate to start ASAP.
