Systems Test Engineer

This role offers a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer an exciting opportunity to join the Defence Intelligence Engineering team. The successful candidate will support the integration and test of all aspects of the new systems.

Main Duties
You will be responsibility for the verification of an allocated product area, designing and then executing the integration tests and formal acceptance tests. The candidate will need to be comfortable working with a diverse product set and able to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL
1.Knowledge of Systems Engineering lifecycle, and demonstrable application of relevant Test methodologies and toolsets;
2.Proven and successful track record in the Integration, Verification, Validation and Testing of systems with complex networked solutions
3.IVV related experience in:
*Definition of Acceptance Criteria
*Development of Test Strategies and plans
*Requirement verification using standard engineering techniques tailored to software development System Test and Acceptance Execution
4.Knowledge and application of:
*Automated Test Tooling
*COTS GIS applications;
* Web Services;
*MS Windows Server;
*Linux;
5.Degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline;
6.Experience of Integration and Systems testing on at least one major programme;
7.Certification to at least ISTQB-BCS Certified Test Foundation level or equivalent demonstrable
8.Experience of testing to UK Government or MOD standards and policies.
9.Experience of preparation of test cases/test procedures ensuring traceability to system use cases and requirements, leading to acceptance
10.Holder of current SC security clearance (or ability to gain SC), which will then be uplifted to DV

DESIRABLE
1.ISTQB-BCS Advanced Test Analyst Certificate
2.Experience of using DOORS for requirements tracking
3.Experience of testing in Government / MOD Secure Environments
4.Logical problem solvers who can operate effectively under deadlines;
5.Able to manage and work within agreed budgets;
6.Strong organisers who can maintain focus on assigned tasking to completion
