The Systems Engineer / SQL Engineer / Database Developer / Reporting Analyst Role:
Is working for a significant organisation that operates across the whole of the UK, providing specialist services. They are looking for an IT Systems Engineer who is able to provide Server Administration skills to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This role reports directly into the Manager of the Information Services Group, and is responsible for providing systems management and support of the SQL Server, databases and relating systems. We are looking for candidates who have strong skills in systems administration, user support and reporting. This is a varied and interesting role with fantastic career progression and stability on offer.
The Systems Engineer / SQL Engineer / Database Developer / Reporting Analyst Will Be Required To:
• Provide expertise and support of the MS SQL Server databases and related internal systems.
• Perform server administration and technical support in conjunction with the 2nd line support team.
• Be responsible for the development of web-based systems to support the business and the on-going maintenance of a suite of reports based on user requirements.
• Provide expertise in writing queries and reports and providing scripts to manipulate data.
• Provide general support and assistance to the service desk.
• Ensure systems efficiency and provide a quality information technology infrastructure to staff.
The Systems Engineer / SQL Engineer / Database Developer / Reporting Analyst Candidate:
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
• Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
• Server administration and technical support skills
• SSIS & SSRS
• SQL scripting skills
• Skills in data import, backup and optimisation as well as managing database infrastructure
• Experience of delivering web-based applications based on.Net, IIS and SQL would be useful, as would SAP and Crystal Reports.
