Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
You’ll assist with the continued development of their in-house platforms, used extensively throughout the group. Their in-house platforms range from customer facing through to business critical applications used 24/7 driving the group forward. Reporting directly to the Group IT Manager you’ll be part of a small team working on lots of different projects.
Main responsibilities:-
* Delivering projects to time & quality as agreed with the Group IT Manager & key business stakeholders
* Creating tech solutions which align with the existing enterprise architecture & future strategic plans
* Identifying technical risks & the ongoing management of technical risks & issues including communicating these to key stakeholders within the business
* Building excellent working relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure that they provide the best service possible
* Reviewing & document IT processes, offering ways to improve efficiencies across the business
* Testing, troubleshooting & supporting theirr Transport Management System to operate effectively
* Design & develop a training platform for internal staff
* Review & develop our customer portal with the assistance of our customers
Key Skills & Experience
* To be successful in this role you’ll need extensive hands on experience & understanding of system design
* A proven track record of working within the Transport Industry working with different Transport Management Systems is essential
* You’ll need experience of following Agile processes to ensure the reliable delivery of internally developed websites & applications across the group
* You’ll have a solid understanding of software development techniques & testing approaches as well as hands on experience with their key technologies such as C#, WebAPI, MS SQL, MySQL, MS SSRS & MS SSIS
* You’ll also have excellent communication skills, a proactive nature, a keen eye for detail & experience of being able to deliver training to internal & external users
