Systems Analyst

Location: Client is based in North Bristol but can work fully remote

Salary: Up to £48k (DOE)

Our client is seeking a System Analyst as it looks to grow its IT operations team. The role will sit alongside system analysts and engineers, troubleshooting third line issues with Applications/Servers/Networks. The role will look to continuously improve the current service, automate current processes, fix or develop solutions to problems.

Skills/Experience

• Operating as part of our 3rd line support team to triage issues and either resolve or work with Developers on a path to resolution.
• Available to respond and provide technical support after-hours, weekends and holidays.
• Liaising extensively with external or internal customers.
• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Presenting to stakeholders regarding performance and processes.
• Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Supporting users on change control and system updates.
• Flexible to take on additional infrastructure and technical responsibilities as deemed necessary.
• Releasing software into production in accordance with current release processes.

Skills/experience:

• as a Systems/Technical Analyst who has been directly involved with the design and implementation of business systems.
• 2nd + 3rd level support for capability against multiple Applications and Operating Systems.
• Working understanding of maintenance on both Linux and windows based operating systems.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• SQL (ideally Oracle) query writing skills to interrogate databases.
• Methodical and logical problem solver for resolving complex problems, determining improvement opportunities and implementing resolutions.
• Self-starter / self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – expect to liaise closely with others and write documentation.
