Systems Administrator

Salary: £30,000 – £60,000 per year

NES Fircroft are currently supporting one of our O&G clients with a Systems Administrator vacancy for a 6 month contract based in Bristol. Ideally, we are looking for someone with Unix / Linux experience and a solid understanding of PLC equipment and HMI software. You will be brought into the business to support the IT centric elements of the Master Control Stations that are developed as part of our wider Production Control System deliverables, and it would be beneficial if you can demonstrate experience of compliling Cyber Security Dossiers. Below is an overview of the responsibilities:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Recognised IT qualification
• Experience in writing organisational policy documents
• Proven experience in a commercial or industrial setting
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Microsoft Windows architecture knowledge
• Operating system deployment and configuration
• Domain Controller deployment and configuration experience
• Virtualisation experience

• Ability to deliver to timescales, sometimes that are challenging
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Demonstratable experience of deploying IT equipment in an Automation System Environment
• An understanding of network architecture and configuring end devices as per network plans
