Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
Our client is the UK’s leading supplier of Fresh Fruit to major retailers. Due to on-going success, they are now in the market for a Sustainability Co-Ordinator
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Group Head of Responsible Sourcing with the delivery of the Group environmental sustainability commitments
* Compile monthly, quarterly and annual sustainability KPI impact reports, conducting analysis using the Business Objects reporting system
* Liaise with the Packaging Teams to track, document and capture details of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary changes that deliver weight reduction savings and environmental benefits through increased recycling
* Capture and trend, end-to-end GHG and Carbon Footprint data, understanding hot-spots and where relevant identify ways to reduce GHG impacts overtime via reduction and offset initiatives
* Manage the annual agriculture carbon emissions reporting and benchmarking process
* Coordinate and manage the supplier responsible sourcing profile process by product category, liaising with suppliers, growers and in-country teams
* Support the Technical Managers with Responsible Sourcing sustainable agriculture plans and end of season reviews
* Compile environmental sustainability case studies, demonstrating sustainable agriculture best practice
Person Specification:
* Background in or experience of working in environmental management, sustainability or a science discipline
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Well organised with strong attention to detail
* Good analytical skills and an appetite for problem solving
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
