Support Workers – Waking Nights – Christchurch / Bournemouth – Lds

My Client is a national company that provide supported living for people with learning disabilities. They are seeking waking night support workers to work with their services in the Christchurch, Poole and Bournemouth areas. Hours are 10 pm to 7 pm, and there can be flexibility on how many nights per week you work – 2, 3 or 4. You would be required to be available to do some hours at weekends when required.

As a support worker, we are looking for individuals with experience in working with individuals with learning / physical disabilities and associated complex needs. Some of the service users can display behaviours that challenge.

You will be supporting people with everyday tasks in life to further individual’s independence and arranging and participating in social activities etc. This will include personal care as required

The most important skills you can bring to us are life skills – patience, commitment, initiative and understanding.

Hours of work: full time, part time hour, sessional available – waking night shifts are usually 9 hours.

Due to the locations of some of the services drivers with their own transport are preferred. If you do not drive then it would be advantageous to you if you are able to get a lift to and from work if required. For personal care reasons all applicant for this role must be female

Rates – £26,000 per year initially, on successful completion of probation this may rise to between £7.57 and £26,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience.
