Support Worker Needed for Lldd Department in A College

Destination Education are looking for Support Workers to join a Specialist College in North London (LLDD Department) for an immediate start – excellent rates of pay!

The college provides Specialist education facilities which are totally dedicated to the specific needs of students with learning disabilities. They are looking for both male and female Suppork workers to work 1-1 and in small groups with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). These Students have extremely complex needs so you will need to have a good understanding and knowledge of working with PMLD. Experience with Makaton and PECS may be useful too.

*People who have experience working in the Care Sector will be considered*

To be considered you must have the following experience and ideally have certificates to show this;

* Hoist Training /Manual Handling

* Peg Feeding (or a basic Knowledge/understanding)

* Epilepsy Training

* Experience with Personal Care

All applicants will be interviewed and vetted at our offices so you will need to have specific documents to apply including an Enhanced DBS and Reference details.

The role will be starting ASAP.
