Support Worker
Location: Ipswich, IP1 4HD
Hours: Full time and Part-Time available
Salary: £26,000per year

This is a rewarding role where you will be involved supporting our customers throughout the day to help them increase their independence within their own home and in the community. You will also help them try new experiences and support them to live the life they choose.

Our customers have a range of disabilities including autism, learning disabilities and other complex needs and are based in Ipswich and the surrounding area.

You may have worked in care or be interested in developing a career in social care where you can really add value to someone’s life.

Training will be given and responsibilities include:

• Assisting and completing domestic tasks and meal preparation.
• Assistance with all personal care, dressing and continence care; using hoists and mobility aids as required.
• Medication administration and arrangement of medical appointments.
• Support educational and personal development, assisting with managing money and dealing with mail.
• Encouraging participation in recreational activities, promoting independence and inclusion in the community
• Supporting access to community facilities such as garden centres and shopping trips.

If your availability varies from week to week, please provide details to be considered for roles as a bank member of staff.

You will need to be able to find methods to clearly communicate and understand our customers who can struggle to communicate verbally.

This role will suit any person aged 18+ who is able to work flexible hours (Including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts). We also ask you are flexible in the location and support that you deliver to our extended customer base.
