Health Care Assistants/Support Workers
Various hours available, Ad hoc basis

Up to £26,000 per year
We are currently looking to recruit a number of Health Care Assistants and Support workers to strengthen our existing team of bank staff. We are currently working with multiple providers across the Northwest and require staff to cover various hours.
The key responsibilities of these posts will be:
To meet the personal and social care needs of patients, in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes well-being and independence.
To help maintain the atmosphere and practice of care based on the values of each particular setting, deriving from a concern for the individual and mutual respect between patients and staff.
Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans for patients.
Respect residents rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
Provide personal and social care in accordance with individual care plans with the aim of enhancing the residents social, physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
Engage in social care activities with residents throughout the day (and night if appropriate), according to the care plan and as recommended by senior staff.
Relate positively and spontaneously with residents to enhance their experience and well-being, either whilst providing private individual care or in communal settings, all the while preserving their dignity and respect.
Answer emergency bells promptly, assess situation and take appropriate action.
Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including the use and care of aids and personal equipment. Where there is a need for residents to be moved, then reference must be made to the care plan/risk assessment to ensure that the manoeuvre can be carried our safely.
Assist in the care of residents who are unwell or dying.
Receive, record and communicate information and messages in accordance with the procedures.
Liaise with relatives, advocates, friends, volunteers and other visitors to the Home. Meet and greet visitors and establish identity in accordance with the Homes security systems.
Maintain all residents records and give written and verbal reports, whilst ensuring confidentiality.
Applicants must:
Health care experience
Have up to date mandatory training
Be either NVQ level 2 or 3 qualified
Have a recent, within the last year, CRB
Immunisation history is desirable but not essential, depending on setting
