£26,000 per year pro rata (£26,000 per year) + night enhancement

I am looking for a caring Support Worker to work in a care home that provides person-centred care to ten service users with moderate to profound learning disabilities, physical disabilities, communication needs and complex healthcare related requirements. Service users have a high dependency nature with the use of wheelchairs and hoists so you must be willing and able to carry out moving and handling duties.

In this role you will:

• Assist service users with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning
• Co-ordinate shifts, including monitoring and managing the colleagues’ Rota
• Provide emotional and physical support to service users
• Carry out high levels of personal care (including washing, bathing, dressing and feeding service users)
• Administer medication and carry out peg feeding

For this post you must have:

• An caring, empathetic personality
• Great organisational skills
• The ability work various shifts on a rota basis including; early shifts, late shifts, bank holidays, weekends and waking nights. A bonus is also paid for waking night shifts.
