Support Worker

We are looking for people who promote a person cantered approach and who are willing to help individuals to live a better quality of life, helping them progress towards a more bright and fulfilled future. A successful candidate will be able to deliver specialist care to adults with varying levels of learning disabilities.
Having experience with supporting adults with learning disabilities is desired, however full training will be supplied.
The service users have varying learning disabilities, severe challenging behaviour, mental health issues, and profound autistic needs.
Your duties with in the work placement will involve:
* Safe guarding the service users.
* Taking the service user out into the community.
* Personal Care.
* One to one support.
* Recording and reporting day to day activities.
* Maintaining great communication between the service user and their families.
* Promoting independence.
* Assisting the service user with their medication

When finding the ideal candidate the following attributes are desired:
* Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities..
* Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to attend all training that is required.
* Full driving licence (Not completely required).
* Minimum QCF Level 2.

Most importantly a successful candidate must want to be a support worker and want to make a difference to a service user’s life and well-being, passionate and professional about the role presented.
