Salary: £26,000 – £35,100 per year

What does the Experienced Children’s Support Worker role involve?

Providing the highest quality care to children we support
Promoting individuals’ independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities
Working with families and partner organisations to ensure support is personalised to meet individual needs
Using a range of communication methods to assist individuals to make informed day-to-day choices
Maintaining accurate record keeping of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise
Undertaking general housekeeping duties, plus elements of personal care
Taking ownership to safeguard and protect vulnerable individuals, ensuring the safety and well being of everyone we support.You will be supporting children who might have experienced trauma, so experience in a similar setting is essential. Ideally you will have a QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People. You will need to show compassion and empathy on a daily basis and be able to communicate well with the young people in the home.
You will need to be flexible to working a variety of shifts, mostly made up of long days and waking nights. These are typically 8am until 8.30pm (long day) or 8pm until 8.30am (waking night)

You will be employed by Hay’s and will have a competitive hourly salary paid weekly as well as access to personal consultants who will help and support you through your Hay’s journey.
