Southdown are looking for people to work with young people with autism and learning disabilities in our state of the art, flagship service in East Brighton. You’d be working in a team, delivering support to a fit and strong 18 year old man who likes to be physically active – walking, swimming, running… and you’d need to be able to keep up!

Starting salary is £26,000per year plus our comprehensive benefits package. You don’t need qualifications or experience.

We are looking for people who are confident, have good observation skills, are fit and agile (e.g. you need to be able to walk fast for five minutes without stopping and swim 25 metres) and at times, be prepared to help keep our client and others stay safe through the use of agreed physical interventions.

You need to be consistent and stay calm under pressure. You need to be adaptable and committed to helping people with learning disabilities get the most out of life.
